A playback singer is a singer who records songs for films, and actors lip-sync to those songs on screen.

Most movies in India contain 4-5 songs in between the entire narrative.
So playback singers, both male and female, who sing these songs become important.

Usually Indian movies carry a love story between the lead actor and the actresses. Their scenes are shot in the different locations of inside coun try or foreign countries (the UK, the Switzerland, and the US etc.)
The playback singers play their part effectively by giving their voiceover on the specific scenes (one song runs for 4-5 minutes, in general).

Music is a talent. If you sing well public gives you the popularity.
